Upon arrival, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative, who will serve as your tour guide. You will then proceed to Kandy via private transfer.
During the journey, we will make a stop at Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage & Zoo. This sanctuary houses a significant number of elephants, and you can marvel at the sight of baby elephants frolicking in the river alongside their larger counterparts. There are also opportunities for interaction, including feeding and bathing the elephants.
Proceed to Kandy, with a stop for lunch at a local restaurant along the way. Later in the evening, witness a Kandy Cultural Show featuring ‘Udarata Culture’ through vibrant costumes, rhythmic music, and energetic routines.
Overnight Stay – Serene Garden Hotel, Kandy
After Breakfast, visit the most sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic, known for its architectural beauty and housing the revered Tooth Relic of Buddha. Explore Kandy city, including a stroll around the lakefront, shopping for gems, batiks, wood carvings, tea, and silk, and relaxing by the lakeshore.
Enjoy lunch at a restaurant and explore the Peradeniya Royal Botanical Garden, home to a diverse collection of tropical and native flora, including the Orchid House. Transfer to Sigiriya, with a visit to the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Dambulla Cave Temple, renowned for its impressive rock-carved caves, statues, frescoes, and ancient artefacts.
Overnight Stay – Fresco Water Villa, Sigiriya
After breakfast depart to climb the Sigiriya rock fortress where you’ll witness the famously known paintings ‘The Frescoes’, and the Mirror Walls. The Royal Palace Garden, Lion’s Mouth, and Hydraulic water pumping will surely mesmerize you!
Enjoy Lunch at a local restaurant and proceed to Colombo for a city tour including the National Museum, Gangaramaya Temple, Colombo Fort, Independence Square, Galle Face Green, Viharamahadevi Park, and Lotus Tower. Stroll through the colonial buildings and Pettah market for shopping.
Overnight Stay – Fairway Hotel, Colombo
