Embark on a city tour to explore Colombo, a bustling city which is the commercial capital of Sri Lanka. Visit the iconic destinations including the National Museum, Gangaramaya Temple, Colombo Fort, Independence Square, Galle Face Green, Viharamahadevi Park, Lotus Tower, Colonial architectural buildings, and Pettah Market, where you can engage in shopping.
Overnight Stay – Fairway Hotel, Colombo
Early morning, after breakfast, head towards Sigiriya and stop by the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage & Zoo, home to orphaned and injured elephants.
Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and proceed to Dambulla Cave Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Witness this largest well-known preserved cave temple consisting of 157 intricate statues. Following your exploration, continue to Sigiriya.
Overnight Stay – Fresco Water Villa, Sigiriya
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and proceed to climb the Sigiriya rock fortress. The famously known paintings ‘The Frescoes’, Mirror Walls, the Royal Palace Garden, Lion’s Mouth, and Hydraulic water pumping to the top, will surely mesmerize you! Visit the ‘Anomalous Stone Sculpture’ on the Southwest of the Rock Fortress which is another UNESCO World Heritage Site in Sri Lanka.
Proceed to Kandy via Matale, en-route stop by the spice garden in Matale. Enjoy Lunch at a local restaurant. Once you’re in Kandy, witness its rich cultural heritage, scenic beauty, and historical significance. Venture to the most revered Temple of the Tooth also known as ‘Sri Dalada Maligawa’, Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, Kandy Lake, Local Cuisine, and the Markets.
In the late evening, enjoy a traditional cultural show displaying the ‘Udarata culture through vibrant costumes, rhythmic music, and energetic dance routines. These cultural shows provide an immersive experience of Sri Lanka’s rich cultural heritage.
Overnight Stay – Serene Garden Hotel, Kandy
After Breakfast visit the most sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic known for its architectural beauty. Explore the city through a stroll around the lakefront, shopping for gems, batiks, wood carvings, tea, and silk, and relaxing by the lakeshore.
Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and explore the Peradeniya Royal Botanical Garden, home to a diverse collection of tropical and native flora, including the Orchid House. Next venture to your accommodation in Negombo.
